Lola Swim Couture is an Australian brand of bikinis, established in 2018. The brand is designed with the purpose of encouraging girls and women to show off their bodies with confidence. The collection is colour popping, playful and mischievous. The inspiration for creating the brand came from society’s expectation placed upon women to be picture-perfect – perfect bodies, perfect hair, to be perfect girlfriends, wives and mothers. At the same time through social media, so much pressure is put on women to look sexy, fit and healthy and this has great impact on girl’s and women’s mental health. Lola Swim dares women to show off – to have an attitude, to be confident and simply to love the skin they are in, while embracing their unique imperfections, curves and edges.
