Elizabeth Ai-Quyen wearing LOLA & AUGUST, by Brian Huynh for YUME.
Lola & August is a Toronto lingerie label by daughter and mother designers Sandra and Jouhaina Mansour. Their first 2016 collection is all about luxurious romance. Frills, lace, silks, chiffons and pearls are used to make women feel beautiful, romantic and sexy, while designed to also be comfortable and breathable, so they can be worn for hours. This collection is catered towards brides-to-be, lingerie addicts, women who love to prance around in pretty little things and also to men who love to spoil the special lady in their lives. All of Lola & August’s products are proudly handmade locally in Toronto.
“Lola & August is about feeling beautiful and loving ourselves naturally without the expectation of changing our bodies, so you’ll find that all of our products do not contain any kind of padding or wiring. We are also ethically minded; we follow the Fair Trade industry in the hopes that someday all of our fabrics and notions will be purchased from Fair Trade organizations. We do not mass-produce anything and we support local freelancers and businesses: all our products are handmade by local seamstresses in and around Toronto, our hang tags and labels are Organic Cotton and made by a small, family-owned business in California, our shipping materials are all 100% recycled, recyclable and biodegradable. We also line all our panties with 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, so you’re comfortable where it matters most, purchased from a local family business in Texas.” — Sandra Mansour, President & Co-Founder of Lola & August
